The beautiful Town of Devon, Alberta is located Southwest of Edmonton, Alberta's capital city. Devon provides easy access to the city's south-side or west-end. It’s only a short commute to West Edmonton Mall, the International Airport (YEG) and a plethora of other facilities, services and retail options.

Living in Devon

Devon is a small, family-friendly town with outstanding schools from k-12. There are five schools in total with both Catholic and public school options for families to choose from, as well as a Christian school. The town boasts many family-friendly features for all seasons. Devon is minutes from Rabbit Hill Snow Resort for winter outdoor fun. There are also 12 kilometres of groomed cross-country ski and snowshoe trails right in town to get you outdoors in the winter months. In summer, locals can visit the Devonian Botanic Garden and the Clifford E. Lee Nature Sanctuary. Castrol Raceway Park and Canadian Petroleum Discovery Centre are also located within the community.

Devon has wonderfully easy water access with The North Saskatchewan River bordering Devon to the northeast. Thanks to some strategic planning on the Town of Devon's part, the community is a fitness and outdoor activity hub. The neighbourhoods in the town are interconnected with a multi-use trail system that encourages a healthy lifestyle and active transportation. The town is a member of the River Valley Alliance, which aims to have a trail network that runs all the way from Devon to Fort Saskatchewan, to the northwest. Outdoor enthusiasts can also enjoy a golf course, campground, boat launch, and a mountain bike skills park. For the more adventurous, Elk Island National Park is just under an hour’s drive away, and Jasper National Park is a three-hour drive away.
